mapD - a Free Visual Tweet Map that Displays Millions of Tweets

mapD Tweet Map is a free demo that uses GPU processing power (as opposed to CPU power) to display hundreds of millions of tweets on a map visually. This is big data at your fingertips. Hundreds of millions of tweets are displayed during a snapshot in real time. You can zoom all the way down to street level to view tweets, Instagram, and Foursquare check-ins, throughout the world. mapD also visualizes what devices people are using.

You can filter the data by using search terms or hashtags.

This is a great tool for marketers, social media managers, security professionals, and investigators.

Is it possible to download for macOS? It says it is only for Linux and in the Forum there is a discussion about how to use it for Mac but all the terminology they use is impossible for me to translate :) I need help! Please
