2016 Lexus GS F – Redline: Review

preview_player
Показать описание
With a screaming naturally aspirated V8 making nearly 500 horsepower under the hood, the all-new Lexus GS F promises to be the most potent sedan to ever grace the Lexus showroom. Throw in a refined cabin, spacious interior, and wicked styling and what you have is a legitimate alternative to German and American luxury sport sedans. Just don't compare it to a BMW M5, Mercedes-AMG E63S or Cadillac CTS-V.

This car will hold its value way better than any of its competitors.

This won't break down like its German competition which is reason enough to pick this.

Every time I watch a Lexus review, there's one thing I wish other luxury car manufacturers really focused on. And this is a Toyota/Lexus staple, IT'S RELIABILITY. I swear to god, no other luxury car manufacturer focuses on this anymore. They focus more on the impressive engine and interior technology, which I understand, it's modern-day luxury, but Lexus vehicles last a long time for a reason, and it's because they focus a lot on reliability. I mean Lexus is one of my favourite luxury brands, not only because they have really cool and nice interiors, great value, but also they will last you a long time, they will still be very solid after many years, and will cause you very little problems. I mean I see older Lexus vehicles from like the 2000s, and they're still looking and driving like brand new today. So Lexus, in my opinion, is a very underrated brand, and it's sad that most people don't really consider reliability as a top priority, and Lexus will give that to you. Why would you want to buy a car that'll give you huge maintenance nightmares and you will be spending a crap ton of money to fix that? Lexus vehicles, you'll be spending like very little money to fix anything, or even spending no money at all, because they're just tanks, and this V8 will last you a long time. It's sad that people don't consider Lexus a good luxury brand, because they certainly are, and to me, the best Japanese luxury brand in existence, even more so than Acura and Infiniti.

Love this fast Lexus. I have the V6 GS which has been a fantastic car.

This is my exact car, same exterior and interior, I put black high gloss rims on it and carbon fiber black spoiler. Love it, very fast, fun to drive in sport plus, a great highway cruiser, quiet and smooth in normal. Travel a lot, very comfortable, decent MPG for the V-8, and I drive the shit out of it.

Favorite car review channel right now. It's in depth (at the same time really concise) and fun to watch.

my dad got an S550 and it broke down 3 months later outside a restaurant. really unfortunate but while we ate the Mercedes technicians came there and then to sort it which was impressive. i really appreciate how reliable Lexus have made their cars and so does my dad because use to have the lexus LS in the 90s. he adored that car and in 12 yrs of owning it not one thing went wrong.

Yes, the other big boys in that category make more power and get to 60 a half second or more quicker. The problem is, is that they are in the SHOP ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME !!!

Lexus are built like bank vaults and NEVER break. Driven them for years and they are the most rock solid cars on the road. Period.

I love the Lexus lineup. I think they did an awesome job. They'll definitely be the first dealership I visit when I'm done saving up

It does have remote start. With an activated/active Enform Remote subscription, you can use the app and key fob to start the car. For the fob, just press the lock button 3 times and hold the last press until the car starts (it takes about 5-15 seconds).

I think you're nitpicking this car too much, pano roof, fold rear seats, metal paddle shifters, 360 camera, rear 3 zone climate, no rear side window shades etc, you want everything? might as well get the homer Simpson car. Anyone buying this car could careless about these options, they're buying for 1 thing which is performance and reliability. You might as well add in that you want a espresso maker and a rice cooker as well, just focus on what this car is meant to be build for.

if lexus concentrates more on performance it's over for the germans

I don't get why Canada gets electric controls in the rear center console and the US doesn't. Also don't get why Canada gets an automatic trunk, but the US doesn't.

I like your channel. Very informative and not just reviewing fancy cars. Most of the car channels they focus on expensive car which most of us can't afford at all. By the way, anyway to review the 2017 Malibu premier?

I test drove one of these and fell in love. I don't know how other super sedans feel, but this thing was fast as hell I thought. I owned 350z and currently drive cadillac ats 3.6.

so sexy, Lexus killed it with the GS F, it is just as good as its German and American competitors with its own unique personality.

I absolutely love how well spoken and eloquent you are buddy, always using the right adequate word to describe any feature of the car; you are very well versed in your car literacy indeed. Great review btw.

I'm sold on this car! It makes great noises, has a killer interior and an untouchable reliability record! You can't go wrong. I'd rather this naturally aspirated V8 to any turbo 6 simply for the sound. And you are right to not compare it to the M, AMG & V! Love your vids!
