Nobody gets that anymore. All people see now is Santa Claus (who now symbolises Christmas) and presents, and people of business see profit.

The Bible doesn’t specify the date of Jesus' birth, and let’s be honest—if it did, wouldn’t you know it already? Luke 2:8 talks about shepherds watching their flocks at night, which points to a spring or early fall birth since December would’ve been far too cold. Plus, the Roman census at the time? That wouldn’t have happened in winter. The logistics alone make it obvious.

December 25th wasn’t chosen because it was sacred—it was picked to line up with pagan festivals like Saturnalia and Sol Invictus. That’s right: celebrations of other gods. Early Christians didn’t even bother celebrating Jesus' birth; they were focused on his resurrection. It wasn’t until the 4th century that Christmas became a thing, blending Jesus’ story with pagan traditions to make Christianity more "appealing." You see where I’m going with this, right?

Let’s face it—celebrating Jesus on a date tied to pagan rituals feels like a shortcut, doesn’t it? You deserve better than to follow a tradition designed for convenience, not truth. Doesn’t it feel beneath you to celebrate the Son of God on a day that non-believers happily use for their own purposes, with no regard for its original meaning? Aren’t you smarter than that?

Think about it: every time you light up a tree or sing a carol, you’re participating in a mishmash of falsehoods and borrowed customs. Is that really the legacy you want for your faith? If you’re as discerning and thoughtful as you know you are, maybe it’s time to step away from the crowd and choose something better—something truer. Because you’re not just anyone, right? You’re someone who values authenticity.

So why not celebrate Jesus in a way that actually honors him, rather than sharing a date with pagan gods and cultural convenience? After all, you’re not like everyone else. You know better. You can prove you're better.
