People need to start to understand that a black belt doesn't mean you have mastered the martial art, it means you have mastered the basics. In Japan you can't impress any martial artist by saying you have a black belt, since this is only where the real journey begins.

That Kyokushin march is terrifying, if there's anything I want to instill in myself through training, it's that invincible march.

I appreciate how the real dojo have taken time to make sure all of their students are actually learning.

The Kyokushin forward March is just as intimidating as Muay Thai. Kyokushin and Muay Thai stylists are the Michael Myers of kickboxing

It feels like those dreams you have when you punch or kick but it has no force behind it.

1:22 Despite his lack of skill, that was incredibly good reflex and ducking by that tkd wannabe kyokushin fighter.

The shorter guy's technique looks kinda... sloppy and out of shape. I can see some basics here, but one wouldn't think that he was a black belt.

Haha I used to practice kyokushin but man I had no option but to leave. It took up so much of my time and I went home everyday with a black chest and a limp. And as a highschooler that's pretty rough. But overall I really loved it.

WTF? This smaller guy does not even have Kyokushin stance, not to mention stamina and endurance. Is he even a black belt in any style?

To be fair, the Taekwondo guy had some very nice techniques (nice side kick to the ribs at the start) - and he had very good reflexes (see that vicious kick he ducked). I also like the way he could leap in, land a punch, and leap out without getting hit back. His problem here is lack of conditioning, lack of power and lack of full contact experience. He's a talented fighter who is untrained and out of shape - fighting a guy who is well-trained, conditioned and three times his size!

The short one is afraid, there is no fighter spirit. Thats the cause.

1:08 best move I've ever seen. Kick and drop! And he's wearing a black belt..

Shorter guy looks like he comes from a WTF Taekwondo background, based on how he holds his hands low.

That was painfull to watch.
If you are a bullshidoka don't ever accept a challenge; even less in front of your students. Always use excuses as for why you cannot fight that day. Otherwise your credibility will suffer.

Love that real kyokushin moment where the little guy throws a lowkick and hurts himself. The legs on those proper karateka are conditioned to hell and back
