I was going to ask which is preferable between this and a pathlib method, but apparently, there's no convenient equivalent there. I might be more likely to just use `rm -rf ./` in a subprocess call lol

Making things harder than they should be, there’s literally a shell command for that: rm for *nix or del for Windows
