The Seven Ages of Man by William Shakespeare

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms;
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lin’d,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well sav’d, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion;
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

In this drama of life, each one of us plays seven distinct roles; these are the Seven Ages of Man.

Dear self,
You are not early nor late,
You are right on time,
You are on the right track in your life,
You are not in a race,
You are in your own pace,
Let them talk,
Let them mock,
Let them assume what is not,
Do not worry yourself,
Do not compare yourself,
They have their own path,
And so are you,
Do not let yourself astray,
Pray and have faith,
Things will be okay.

Ahhhh
This make me want to write about
“The memory of me”
Now I am old and grey,
Had fair share of events of life
Through thick and thin
Tasting joy and happiness
Shocking betrayals of trust
Pitching pain and agony
Broken hearts many times
But still survived and still here
Now I just want to count goodness
And precious gift of life
Highest thrill was 72 birthday on the Mt. Everest base camp
Brave enough to travel solo any time and any place
It is my reward from all there was
That I had to endure
So I count my blessings

Live your life and forget your age. Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young.🔥

Somewhere between soldier and justice, trying to dissect and subjugate everything. Growing into a knowledgeable man, precise in my speech, and quick to listen. Slow to speak, but bold as a lion. Mine eyes see through, although not quite accurately, humbled by what I find. Passionate, selflessly caring, loving thoroughly, though quite stark at times.

I heard this poem quite a few times before, but it's one of those which you can come back numerous times.

I became a soldier rather quickly in life the lover in me faded as my heart broke into pieces of strength and learning from these experiences.

Speaking in the stages of young adulthood, I believe that once you reach those fading years, when your senses start to weaken; as long as you have contributed towards something, made something, helped someone, then your years have been wholesome, and you can truly leave with peace
