"We need more law enforcement in schools"....Dude we couldn't get them to go in when there was an active shooter! What makes you think putting them in schools would help?

The local police for Uvalde, were recently trained for an active shooter scenario. Did they all pass or failed that class? Were they trained by a professional? Was the trainer paid for that job?

0:30 "You get the right kind of person behind the gun"

Tell that to the numerous officers behind MANY guns that waited outside the building for 1 hour while helpless children were slaughtered.

He bought 2 rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammo but isn’t allowed in a bar to buy a beer....????

Did that guy seriously say the shooter could have done just as much damage with a hammer and a machete???? If those two weapons could have done the same damage, why did he reach for the guns? Because they can't do the same damage in the same time frame.

Even a hunter who uses both firearms and a bow, will say that the experience is difference.

someone with a hammer could have done just as much damage as someone with an assault rifle? I don't care what side you fall on that has got to be the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time

”There are schools that are still naive to what can go on”……so it’s the school’s faults?

It irks me and is ironic that "19 good guys with guns" stood in a hall doing nothing to confront 1 armed man that slaughtered 19 children and 2 teachers.

You could do as much damage with a machete or a hammer? that’s why you see soldiers use hammers in combat because they are equally deadly 😂

People can be moral without Jesus Christ…look at many countries with far less crime and violence with far less Christian influence…. I love my Christian friends and family, but todays Christianity has strayed far from the figure of Christ that is centered on grace, love, kindness, patience, service, understanding….you get the picture.

The problem with the car analogy the first guy uses is that cars require licenses, training, testing, registration renewal, insurance, and many more regulations that make it at least a LITTLE more difficult for anyone to own and operate a car. Something is wrong when it's easier to buy and own a gun than a method of transportation.

Edit for all of the angry second amendment people replying: remember the part in the second amendment that says "a well regulated militia"? I think it's time we started regulating a bit more.

Shooter had 1657 rounds of ammo in his truck. Who the F needs that much ammo? We need limits.

The ONLY thing that needs to change is the same old people with their outdated thinking.

I remember when they closed the mental institutions in the 70's & 80's and let them out on the street. Now today there's not enough people to deal with the drug addiction and the mental health problems they are causing. This is a problem brewing for decades.

No guns allowed at the convention, even though gun shows are held all the time. Same goes for Republican Conventions, state legislatures and Capitol Hill. They just can't take the risk that they want US and OUR CHILDREN to take EVERY DAY, EVERYWHERE.

This gives me flashbacks to a few years back, where people were seriously advocating for _teachers_ to carry weapons and be the first line of defense against an active shooter. Teachers.

"Gun owners are the safest people around"... then why are guns banned at the NRA convention?

All of them talking about being a responsible gun owners, which is fine. We need stricter laws and measures to get rid of irresponsible people who do not deserve to be gun owners. The first guy compare guns with cars. He is correct. That's why we have policies to determine who can operate cars safely and who shouldn't be driving. Can't we apply the same to guns operations?

The shooter was shooting for 12 minutes outside the school before entering the school, he got into the school because a teacher left the door open, [12 minutes of shooting outside should have sent the school in lockdown] this don't make sense at all, also how the hell the cops allow an active shooter to enter the school.

Salvador Ramos was a Law-Abiding citizen when he walked into the gun shop.
Salvador Ramos was a Law-Abiding citizen when he legaly bought his rifles.
Salvador Ramos was a Law-Abiding citizen until the second he started his shooting spree..
NRA and the GOP’s no.1 fighting issue these days: securing that the likes of Salvador Ramos can easily access military assault rifles.
