Toriyama was a Pioneer who created a new cultural movement that became so ingrained in the media sphere.
Anime was already a thing, but in the West, Akira Toriyama changed the world and change so many people's lives in a way that you can't even fathom. RIP

Toriyama single-handedly sparked and fueled my interest in drawing and watching anime. That iconic scene of the Galick Gun vs Kamehameha clash was was sold me that I was watching the greatest cartoon ever at the time. Thank you Toriyama for everything and for being the reason I love anime.

Here’s to all the homies who were up early watching the Cell Saga in the 90s. 25 years later and I have not forgotten the distinct memory of Vegeta turning Ultra Super Saiyan and punching Cell through the gut with my dad and older brother. Thank your Akira Toriyama.

Without Toriyama there would be no Big 3, no YouTube anime community, no widespread western anime popularity, no anime conventions, and millions of friendships would’ve never been created. He’s the most iconic, legendary and influential mangaka that ever was, is, and will be.

RIP TORIYAMA 🐐🐐🐐

Akira Toriyama was truly one of a kind, I doubt there will ever be another author/mangaka quite like him.

Akira Toriyama set the world on fire, changed the game and changed the entertainment Sphere of Japan!
He was the gateway of this new culture phenomenon that slowly change how people around the world viewed Japanese entertainment and the anime conventions would never existed thanks to him, our childhood escapisms, were all thanks to him.
And the way DBZ has been ingrained into pop culture, there isnt a single other manga/anime that has come close, you'll be miss Toriyama-san 😢 R.I.P

Dr.Hiriluk line about death will always be amazing to me! " A man truly dies when he is forgotten!" So, for all the work Toriyama contributed to the world, his name will always be remmebered! In many years to come! ❤

That man opened the world to the incredible genre of anime. Majority of our childhood memories would be so different without it.. DBZ was the greatest thing to happen to manga/anime and in 2024 we are still enjoying it. His legacy is nothing short of monumental.

The Dr. Seuss of our generation has passed away. As a token of respect I brought some DBZ merchandise from box lunch two days ago and been on a OG Dragon Ball binge.
