How long it took, all the things I did to help me out. Basically the whole process. I'm even gonna show you guys my first ever game! just a warning It's really bad lol. People who say that it is difficult for them and they do not understand, imagine me, a Russian person who is always forced to watch videos in English (I would rate my knowledge of English at 4/10, which means that more than half of it I do not understand). Why don't I watch tutorials in Russian? Because there are no normal tutorials in Russian, but I still never stop. (I recently created his monster with the help of the guide on "Magnitude' Thank You DevKing.I also plan to start learning English better Most of what I understand, I learned myself, school has not helped me in almost anything. If there are errors, I immediately say I used a translator to write this as clear as possible).

I literally had the same background, I started learning Python, didn't really know what to do and thought, hmm? maybe make a Roblox game? I started to search for some tutorials, the first thing I saw was a tutorial playlist by AlvinBlox, I watched the whole playlist, I was a little stuck, when I finished it, but then I saw a video of your Advanced Scripting series in my recommendations, I was happy to see it, because I already knew the basics and wanted to learn further, I still watch your series and I'm happy, that I have someone new to guide me through my scripting experience, my first game will probably not come out any time soon, because I was very busy with other stuff (it's something privat) and I just focused a bit more on other parts of game development, building/modelling, and all that stuff, but I liked the way it has been going and I'll hopefully make a fun game :)

Thanks for being so honest! I’ve only been learning to script since last week and I was hooked until I couldn’t do something that felt like it should be easy! I took a little break this week but came back to it the last couple of days, don’t like to give up! Thanks for all the videos, I’ve watched so many and you’ve really helped. I remember programming on Roblox. Some fundamentals I still use to make my Unity games. I highly recommend learning to code on Roblox, it really did help me.

What a coincidence, I also started learning programming with Python too, but in the summer of 2019. The only use, and biggest project that I made out of it, was a script that saves how many times you watched a Youtube channel, but you needed manual input. There is a bug where it would delete everything if the file the data saved in got too large, so I stopped. Maybe I might come back to it.

I've been scripting on roblox and normally (outside of roblox, normal lua) for 4 years. It took me around 2 years to learn. Progress is progress and if you stick with it long enough you'll learn and be a professional in no time.

I'm a 15 year senior developer. Spent most of my time using C and C++. I came to Roblox thinking "This will be easy". But it wasn't so easy. I knew Python, and some Lua from using Love2D. But learning how everything in Roblox ties together threw me off. It took me a good 3 weeks to learn the system. I think learning Love2D is an excellent way to get into game development and Lua, and then progress to Roblox, but that's my personal preference. I use Rojo, and apply a single script architecture keeping everything in modules and using 1 server, and 1 client, script to bootstrap.

I was honestly struggling to believe that was your first game! It was much better than my first game for sure. It could definitely have some more improvements but is much better than i expected
