A solid technician, Edwards combines efficient footwork with quick punches, which he uses to control distance. Since 2015, Edwards has also trained at Team Renegade under Dave Lovell, a former professional boxer. Other striking coaches in Edwards' team include boxing coach Ash Begg, striking coach Henry Cleminson, and Muay Thai coach Nathan Epps. In his most recent fight at UFC 278, Leon Edwards won the UFC Welterweight championship after knocking out Kamaru Usman, with a rematch currently scheduled for UFC 286.
