Vatican says same-sex unions can't be blessed

The Vatican has said that priests cannot bless same-sex unions, calling any blessing "not licit."
Its top doctrinal office issued the judgement on Monday... answering the question on whether the Catholic clergy can bless gay unions.
The ruling said, the church should be welcoming towards gay people... with respect and sensitivity, but not endorse their unions.
It added that God does not, and cannot bless sin.
Pope Francis, who has been praised for his welcoming gestures towards the LGBTQ community both within and outside the Church has approved the note.
This decision is a setback for Catholics who had hoped that the church would modernize its approach toward homosexuality.
