In this video, we’re focusing on pivot joints and breaking down two specific types: the atlantoaxial joint and the proximal radioulnar joint. Both of these joints allow rotational movement around an axis, and it’s important to fully understand how they function before sitting for the MBLEx.

We’ll walk through what makes a pivot joint unique, and I’ll explain the structures involved in these two examples, including how C1 (Atlas) and C2 (Axis) work together for neck rotation and how the proximal end of the radius and ulna contribute to movements like pronation and supination in the forearm.

If you're looking for more resources, I have a detailed study guide and worksheet available on Etsy, covering all six types of diarthrotic joints you'll need to know. Additionally, on my Patreon page, I’ve posted (so far) 46 FREE MBLEx practice questions to help test your knowledge, along with live lessons and other study materials if you're looking for more guidance.

Make sure you're prepared before your exam, and if you need extra help, feel free to reach out to me. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video!

Very respectfully
