As always outstanding! That's the perfect mixture: bit of adventure + bit of skills + bit of gear + bit of You. In my opinion it's also perfect recipe for your First MIL. I'm Tracking that goal with You! :-)

My wife constantly tells me, "I can't make you happy, only you can make yourself happy". Since I retired from the military, I've been searching for happiness. I usually find it in nature, sitting across from a fire. Thanks again for the time you take to make these videos.

Seen ya spittin as you are that fish. You should catch the seedless fish next time. Lol. Another good video incorporating a bunch of the skills from other videos. Showing actual practical use.

It has been a long time since I sit on my grandfather's pond bank at night with a good fire. He was a WWII vet, red diamond; passed away at age 81 back in 2000. I had the privilege to know him the first 23 years of my life. He had a place in eastern Kentucky, up in the hills, had a decent sized pond. I don't think it gets better than a quiet night with a fire crackling, fish splashin', frogs croakin' and the whip-poor-wills singing. Watching this video takes me back to those days. I would not trade those moments for anything.

250K Helikon Giveaway

Seriously, the "low branch on a red pine = fatwood" bit is just super useful.

Thank you for sharing Shawn. I took away from this some much needed self introspection, not only do I learn bushcraft, shelter building but mental health too. Thank you.

Your channel sure grew quickly once 2020 hit! I started watching you early summer 2020, and if I recall correctly, you had about 500k subs by then.

11 years to hit 250k, 8 months to basically double them to 500k (where I joined in the fun) and then less than 2 years to bust 1 million subs! You deserve this success! Thanks for what you share with us!
