000.4 - Dreaded ductless dryer DR code remedy

This short howto video shows how to clean and likely eliminate the DR code on a ductless dryer when caused by a fouled sump pump. While specific to the Bosch 300 Series stackable unit, much of this is likely similar on other similar dryers.

The Torx screw in the video is a T-15 and is removed when pulling the pump out of the sump.

We use this dryer in our super tight house as the only penetration in the house envelope beyond open doors or windows is the Zehnder ComfoAir 200 heat recovery ventilator.

I have the Bosch 500 series ductless. The Canadian guy who made the video does a fantastic video as well on that Bosch unit.
I clean mine at least twice a year, I’d do it more often, but it’s our second set of and doesn’t get used as much.
So thankful for these videos, most likely saving me $$ hundreds in service charges..If you can find an appliance repair.

Nice lesson on keeping your appliance working properly. This should be a lesson for the Bosch design engineers. Perhaps they should ship the dryer with a torx driver and some hemostats!

Thanks for this video! I found that there is a channel with enough vertical space above the plastic housing to lift it over the pump and attach it after connecting the wires and drain hose. This is much easier than popping out the drain hose fitting and connecting it from outside.

I think I will clean out the reservoir, exchanger and everything else more frequently so I don’t have to service the pump. My series Bosh 500 set is 3 years old and have not had any failure warnings yet.
