Civil asset forfeiture is constantly used against innocent Americans that are simply traveling with cash or valuables and don’t have a paystub or something similar to account for the money. I’ve seen a bunch of videos and read articles seeing officers doing it. That’s why the representatives of the people want it gone, not because they take money from criminals.

Unfortunately there is now too much abuse of Civil Asset Forfeiture. It needs to be repealed. Maybe rewritten and reimplemented, but really don’t think it can be. The fact that moneys can be “Forfeited” because of suspension of wrong doing is just outrageous and I believe Unconstitutional.

Where is the drugs the dog alerted to? Since when is having gold bars in your possession a crime? How did you find evidence of money laundering from a traffic stop? This shit just don't pass the smell test. Sounds to me like the police department saw a payday and decided to take it.

Im confused...they arrested 2 foreign nationals b/c they had gold?...being here illegally is a crime for sure, but having gold is not last I checked...at least in America. As much as i hate to say this...this sure sounds like a bad arrest.
