Great job! You have a true gift for teaching. You give the pertinent information with your examples while not wasting time on superfluous junk. Subscribed from an accomplished blues/rock/country player looking to add some jazz style to the arsenal. Keep up the great work and cheers from Louisiana!

I like the way you explain these, demonstrate, and show variations. Now to practice in all keys, many positions, and vary the lick a bit.

Great lesson Adrian! Thanks so much for that last piece too on how to make it fit for a “4 bar” progression! Best wishes from Sacramento CA! 😊

I know all those licks, and plenty more, proficiently, and I don’t even consider myself a Jazz guitarist per se. These are basic licks that any weekend guitar enthusiast should have in his/her bag of tricks.

Any advice for fusion licks in A harmonic minor? I got some funky riffs and groovy rhythms but have no idea about how to play the leads

Very informative. Just a quick little comment, make sure you alter the V chord when it resolves to a minor i chord. It's so important. A G9 going to C-7 doesn't really make sense or flow harmonically. To make it simple you could play a C harmonic minor over that V going to i in minor. However that G mixolydian sound isn't really happening. Just passing on a lesson I've learned the tough way. Nice vids! Keep it up

Nice, I am having some trouble with that Dm7b5 voicing. Can you give it?

6:03 i could hear this lick resolving to a minor major 7 chord if people are feeling spicy enough for that

Adrian I would prefer the Chord degrees rather than finger on fret explanation... just saying. lol ... that way, you can play in any Key !
