I Heard Music Coming From These River Weeds Underwater (Then Found It's Source!) While scuba diving in a popular tubing river in Texas, I heard a song coming from underwater. After several minutes, I FINALLY FOUND IT'S SOURCE! I also found a lot of valuables using my waterproof metal detector.

It's harder to tell what direction sound is coming from underwater, because sound travels faster in water, meaning that the sound reaches both ears at almost the same time.

Your mystery mineral is definitely pyrite. You could actually get a few bucks out of pieces like that, collectors love specimens that are still half embedded in the matrix they grow in like that white stone. And the nice thing about thin slabs like those is they usually crack where the pyrite inclusion is located so they're not hard to expose nice surfaces.
