TajRupt Documentary: 'Pioneering Artificial Intelligence in Tajikistan'

Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to structurally disrupt the global economy. Encompassing computer systems that are able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, AI has already impacted a wide variety of fields - from healthcare and education, to manufacturing and agriculture. Meanwhile, Central Asia as a region has had limited exposure to AI due to lack of research capabilities and enabling commercial environment.

This documentary provides an overview of TajRupt's AI project and features interviews with students, researchers, and practitioners in Tajikistan. It was compiled in June 2018 as part of TajRupt's application to the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Transform Fund.
