I lived in Japan for nearly a dozen years, including the unpleasant events of 2020-2022. The Japanese Bishops are thoroughly Modernist and completely on the side of Francis and totally opposed to Tradition of any kind. The message of Our Lady of Akita is completely at odds with the Modernist agenda, so it must be suppressed. It's just not in the nature of the Japanese clergy to go against authority - they say that the nail that sticks out gets hammered. I'm not the least bit surprised by any of this.
