Apprenticeships at CPI | Why did Lara choose a degree apprenticeship over a university degree?

Join us in celebrating our incredible apprentices and their rewarding experiences. Lara Picknett, an Apprentice Scientist at CPI Wilton paving her way into the AgriFoodTech industry, tells us about her apprenticeship journey. Working in fermentation, Lara plays a part in the production of alternative proteins, reducing the environmental impact of conventional production processes, and transforming the food and feed industry.

Why did Lara choose to pursue a degree apprenticeship over conventional university education? Her answer is simple… because it’s the best of both worlds. Our apprenticeships have a great balance between learning and doing, so Lara is gaining both knowledge and practical skills for life.
