He didn't even needed the judges' approval. His act alone was enough to tell how capable he is.

Bro if you are able to talk to the judges while holding that position, you are just a superior human being

His name is remembered.
The judges are forgotten dust.

Was glad one judge stood up for him. Nice to know the story behind the name of the move. Thank you.

This guy is the best type of human. Not afraid to be a smartass in the face of disrespect and unfair treatment

He passed away today, aged 94, peacefully, in his own home in Armenia. What a legend.

This is what truly defines a legacy. Win or lose in the moment no one will remember, but your behavior will become immortalized

Lost the fight won the war. History did not remember the judges yet the sport honors the athlete.

Albert got disqualified but this move ultimately got him on the USSR national team so it's not like his career was ruined by the judges, it was actually the opposite. One judge got butthurn but the other gave the man props. Mans still alive btw

My mom met him a few times, she was a teacher at the armenian national sports institute in the early 2000s before we moved to the US she said that he was a very strict and put together person, always serious but also very kind, Rest in peace Albert Azaryan an Armenian hero 🇦🇲❤️

Having the pose named after you forever is better than a gold medal around your neck for a moment.

And is still, even today, one of the HARDEST moves to do on the rings. Dude was freakin legit the best gymnast of his era.

The fact he did this and got disqualified is actually the start of our hero’s story.
