1. 2006/2007 - vs Benfica - crucial equalizer with Man Utd are facing elimination in the Group Stages of the Champions League
2. 2007/2008 - vs Everton - 83rd minute winner to keep momentum going w/ Rooney injured with a broken foot and Ronaldo having a rare off game
3. 2008/2009 - vs Sunderland - injury time winner against a dogged Sunderland to get 3 big points early in the title race
4. 2008/2009 - vs Chelsea - the go-ahead goal to take a half-time lead against challengers Chelsea to effectively knock them out of the title race
5. 2008/2009 - vs Inter - critical early goal in the 2nd leg of the R16 tie to calm the nerves against Mourinho's Inter; Ronald takes care of the rest
6. 2010/2011 - vs Villa - 85th minute equalizer following Macheda's 81st goal to earn a big draw in a game where United trailed for large parts
7. 2013/2014 - vs Bayern - surreal goal against the mighty Bayern following one of the worst performances in history against Olympiakos
Vidic was a slow-starter but left United a warrior and a legend. There hasn't been any defender remotely close to his level at United since. One of several key players, characters and leaders that were never replaced from the winning team of the 2012/2013 season.
