This video tutorial describes how the early circadian rhythm researchers demonstrated the organisms's behavior is governed by internal biological clocks as opposed to external time-cues. It was produced and developed by members of the BioClock Studio Winter 2017 at UC San Diego.

Question: What environmental cues were the bees living in under Renners tests? Were they exposed to morning sunlight and evening setting sun at least? Because the environmental factors would help me more accurately determine if their internal clocks are truly running on learned behaviour while being moved across time zones. Edit: the confusion came from the missing element in Renners test, it should be noted he also did try the test again USING natural environmental cues which resulted in the bees having contradicting behaviors when trying to tell time. It is documented that "a large number of bees reported to the sugar water station after 24 hours, however, a large number of bees also reported to the sugar water station OUT of appropriate time".
