Inside the Tomb of Abraham Lincoln and his Attempted Grave Robbery

We are in Springfield, Illinois visiting the final resting place of Abraham Lincoln and his family at the Lincoln Tomb. I will show you the tomb as we take a tour and I will also tell you details on how Lincoln's body was moved around numerous times plus a grave robbery attempt. I will also show you the temporary receiving vault down the hill from the tomb where Lincoln was first kept after his funeral. I remember reading a story about the 1901 movement. They open ed his coffin to make sure he was still in it. Very interesting descriptions.

I'm a Long Islander now but up until 5 years ago I spent most of my life in Bloomington about 30 miles from here. If you make it to Bloomington check out the David Davis mansion. Davis was an attorney that was responsible for getting Lincoln on the Republican ballot. When Lincoln was elected he selected Davis to be on the Surpream Court.

People shouldn't disrespect the dead, and they should keep they hands off, besides messing with the dead will get u something u wouldn't wish for . When people die they just want to be left to rest in peace not to disturb them.😊 Don't ever mess with what is beyond us.
