Grab some of the gear we use to film our Professor Wolters videos.
Grab one of Professor Wolters shirts or other merchandise at

Microsoft Surface: We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

Lights: Mount Dog 18’ Ring Light Kit. It will light up your filming space so your videos will look clearer and film better. We started using it and it makes all the difference.

Sony Alpha Camera: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you film on location.

Manfrotto Tripod: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

This is so true. Reviews and surveys are so important. Most people are afraid to ask their happy customers to leave a review or survey. I ask my hotel GMs to train the front desk to identify the repeat guests and ask them to complete a survey or review. Hopefully they returned because they are happy. :)

I’ll share a funny story. Stayed at a cool hotel in Bratislava. Checked in by and got to know the GM. She saw me in the bar one night and comp’d my wine. Very friendly and guest focused. Always addressed me by name and asked how I was enjoying Bratislava. Great manager. A couple of weeks after my stay she emailed requesting a review. I told her I’d rather not because I had some negative experiences. She was shocked because I was always pleasant and seemed like I enjoyed my stay. I replied “yes I loved your hotel and very much enjoyed my stay, perfect location short walk to Old Town, my balcony overlooked a beautiful park, your restaurants are awesome, the food was delicious, terrific bartenders, however the first night I had to request clean sheets due to a stain and since it was in the evening it took over an hour but I understand. The main issue was upon checkout, the gent at the front desk was extremely rude to the couple in ahead of me and also was unfriendly to me as well as slow and inefficient. It was a very bad final experience.”
She didn’t respond but copied my comment, deleted the negative part and posted word for word the positives on their website using a different first name last initial. Hahaha.

Nailed it, prof. One thing that blows my mind is that it is actually against Yelp's rules for a business to proactively ask a customer for a review. The policy makes zero sense to me. Yelp presumably wants people to use their platform but they also don't want businesses sending customers to it. Google Reviews is where it's at right now.

One problem: any savy customer knows to take it with a grain of salt the great and awful reviews - one or five stars is an emotional review. Three stars are more revealing/typical or what can be expected.
