In your face: David Perrett at TEDxGhent

David Perrett spent his career working on human faces -- how they are processed in our brain and what cues we use to judge attractiveness, health, trust and leadership. He has developed state-of-the-art image analysis and transformation techniques to define facial shape and colour cues, and 3-D computer graphics for testing the attributions we make to faces. He is the author of "In Your Face: The New Science of Human Attraction".

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. One of those instances where different studiess seem to give opposite results on the same question. I remember distinctly having heard about a study (or even several ones) where slim or long faces where the ones that were judged less trustworthy and round ones were rated trustworthier. Now, I know that " I've heard of a study" is not an exact reference. But it points me to believe that findings might not be without strong contradictions in this field of research and people shouldn't adopt these theses into their everyday life.

Yellowness in your skin is actually a sign off bad health. So if eating more fruit and vegs makes your more yellowish than it would mean eating veg is a bad thing, but we all know thats not the case.
