Hand Cut Dovetails Exotic Wood

In this video I use some exotic timber . Mango and Panga Panga, both are hard woods and take a bit of working with and getting to understand them. I’m also hand cutting the through dovetails to make a beautiful Jewellery box.

What a great looking "Mango-Pango" box. Can't remember the last time I cut dovetails, must be mid 70's so an 8x6 project with them must be overdue now you've put the thought in my head ☺. Not today though (ha ha).

Great job Mark. I have never cut dovetails. I am still at the level of Steve Ramsey's Woodworking for Mere Mortals. I am not up to your level. I have never used a plane either. There is much to learn! Thanks for posting.
