Great feature and one that most manufacturers will follow hopefully.

I don't know if LG is trying to avoid some Samsung's patent, but one connect is really everything needed for most people. It's a shame there's no option like one connect on any of LG's main OLED series as it would improve the tv presentation

I guarantee the display is still hardwired with a stupidly short power cable

Very much two minds about this, it’s a cool tech and for people planning a media room from scratch I can see it being quite a big deal, but for most people who have the standard everything near the tv set up something like Samsungs one connect box would work better for most and reduce the number of cables heading up to the tv.

I just made a Best Buy run to compare current tech. LG, Sony, Samsung are all almost indistinguishable in picture quality. Most of the differences people don't even care about.

Love how some Samsung people are claiming that LG is ripping off Samsung with this new wireless idea and that Samsung should sue lol!! I love the idea honestly.

It may suit some, but for many it just means two plugs required. I guess you only buy this TV if you need the box away from the main TV

Solution looking for a problem. Unless really an issue always go wired

Holy moly, just say the damn frequency. We can just measure it anyways, so why not say it right out the gate. Fucking hate this obfuscation of things from manufacturers in the modern days which is aimed at keeping the consumer uninformed. There used to be a certain openness in the consumer-manufacturer dialog which was unfortunately lost in the last decade or two. You really have to have everything written into law nowadays, everything has to be pried from manufacturers hands. Anti consumer is the name of the tech business nowadays.

My understanding is that it will NOT have MLA, very disappointing!

so if the built in WiFi on the TV or the box is broken, you TV is unusable, right ?

sounds a bit pointless, anyone with a setup with a 4k player will for sure have a hdmi going from their receiver/soundbar up to the tv, one cable or a fat box, yeh ill go cable

1:30 this guy seems like he knows absolutely nothing about tech, or at least this area of tech. J guess their first choice was busy that day 😂

He makes it sound like they've invented a quiet vacuum that isn't very quiet.
