With Halo Studios working on multiple projects, it's possible we'll see a Halo CE Remake in 2026, and Halo 7 in 2027-2028. That might be their plan.

Also they hired some Epic employees which might confuse some but Epic is the only one who has been using UE5 for 3 years now and would know a lot of the INs and OUTs unlike Valorants dev team or Halo Studios.

Chris Matthews (Studio Art Director) stated this: "Respectfully some components of Slipspace are almost 25 years old....although 343 were developing it continuously, there are aspects of Unreal that Epic has been developing for some time which are unavailable to us in Slipspace and would have taken huge amounts of time and work to try and replicate" so it's clear they have bigger ambitions for gameplay, environment, design and art style that the Balm Engine cannot compete without spending tons of cash as we saw with Slipspace to replicate

Ever since 343i were swapped out with new people sometime before or during S3 of Infinite’s lifespan, a rebranding sounded more than appropriate. Because whether you like the name or hate it, “343 Industries” was tarnished due to a long list of bad decisions by old management to the point a lot of fans wouldn’t give 343i another shot whether it was made up of entirely new people or not. I know “Halo Studios” has yet to prove itself but at the very least there should be a whole lot less “sins of the father” going on. I’m basically paraphrasing what HiddenXperia recently said.

Im really hoping that Halo Studio can follow Infinite's footsteps by still remembering and still celebrating not just bungie but prior 343 era content.

The best of luck to pierre and his teams, as this complete reshuffling of the studio would have required so much preparation and it would be good to see Halo Studios build some good with with the (reasonable part of the) Halo Community.

All the behind the scenes leaks suggest that the main issues were with management and the Blam engine. Seems like they've gone ahead and fixed those issues while re-branding. Incredibly hyped!
