Combining Shapes to Make a PCB in the AutoTRAX DEX PCB Designer

In this video I am going to show you how to create a complex PCB shape by combining several different graphical objects with the current PCB border. Here we have an empty design displaying the PCB Border. I will now show you how to add graphical shapes around the PCB and then combine them into the current PCB border. I will first zoom out to give me space to add to the additional graphics. To make the PCB border stand out I will set it to be filled using the layers drop down menu. Now the scene is set, let us add some graphics. To speed up the demonstration I will not add precisely defined graphics but rather create them using visual feedback. The first thing I will add is a rectangle on the left of the PCB. Next, I will add a circle on the right of the PCB. Finally, I will add a rounded rectangle at the bottom left corner of the PCB.

Now to combine all the graphics and the current PCB border into a single PCB border, I select all the graphical items and the PCB border by holding down the left mouse button at the top left of the viewport and dragging the mouse to select all the objects. Finally, to create the new PCB border, I open the Add ribbon tab, and click on the combine button. The new PCB has now been created. You can enhance the newly created PCB border by repeating the process and adding more graphics, selecting the graphics on the PCB border and clicking on the combine button. Opening the 3D view lets you see the newly created PCB border in 3D. So, that is how to create a complex PCB border.
