We tested it on the Nintendo Switch, but it's also newly available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One too, plus backwards compatible with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It's also been available on PC via Steam of GOG since 2018.

Across multiple game modes, single-player and split-screen multiplayer, there's plenty to play through, and the synthwave soundtrack and faux-2D visuals combine to deliver a distinctly early-90s vibe. But it's the handling model that truly sets Slipstream apart.

Not all retro games are 8-bit. Out Run was 16-bit. This game is retro 16-bit style.

Android version of Slipstream would be welcome too. Mobile gaming is a huge market.

I played it on PC and I loved it. Visuals, sounds are juicy and nostalgic. Gameplay is simple but quite challenging.

It's a perfectly done game in it's simple scope.

How long did you actually play this for, 45 minutes? You just admitted you still haven't mastered the drifting.
