Great vid comparison was much needed. I think what looks best really depends on the color of the car. For the m3 versions of these lights the smoked version's lens color of the turn signal and brake is too white for me (light is red, lens is white). The outer lenses are also clear not smoked at all, it's just the inner housing is black (as far as I can tell). Calling them smoked is a bit misleading and some of the marketing pics are even worse.

I prefer OEM+ or closer to actual real GTS which is a smoked red/dark red. To get what I was looking for I ended up getting the red version and a light smoke tint + blackline reverse light kit from Golden Wrench. Applied the black line kit before the overall tint. Very happy with the results and stands out from other VLAND tail lights. Something to consider!
