Here is a PSA
If you think that you are around a hidden camera (like a hotel room) turn off all of the lights and use your phone camera (without the flashlight) to look for any purple light, because purple light on the camera indicates infrared which is what cameras used to see in the dark, infrared is invisible to most people, and those that can see it, it is _very_ very faint

The most common places for hidden cameras include bedside clocks smoke detectors mirrors and charging bricks.

People could still hide batteries inside to keep the camera operational even when not plugged in. So it's best if you tape over the camera aswell, just to be safe.
