This may be the most famous ghost train service in the UK. This is a parliamentary ghost train that runs from Stockport to Stalybridge once every Friday (One Way). It departs Stockport at 09:22 and arrives at Stalybridge at 09:43. It took slightly longer than usual due to a red signal which caused a wait of roughly 5 minutes. It calls at the following stations: Reddish South, Denton, Guide Bridge and finally Stockport.

This is my 4th Ghost Train.

Here is the Stations:
Reddish South: 4:14
Denton: 7:47
Guide Bridge: 12:39

This used to be an important link joining the main line at Stockport to two trans-Pennine lines. Guide Bridge had four tracks going through to Woodhead and was so busy that there was a freight diversion underpass that took Stockport to Staylibridge traffic under the main lines. The tracks branching off to the left south of Guide Bridge joined the line between Staylibridge and Victoria at Droylsden. (I've used this passenger service back when it was regularly scheduled, BTW)

Reddish South was my local station for about 11 years. Usually used it every two weeks alternating between getting off at either Guide Bridge where I'd change for a train to Glossop and Stalybridge where I'd change to a trian to Moston all as part of my Greater Manchester Rail Ranger hammering trips out.

20 years ago I took old diesel train from Hadfield to Manchester late evening, I was the only one on it and the driver was maxing it out, really thought it was coming off the tracks!!🤣❤️

"It calls at the following stations: Reddish South, Denton, Guide Bridge and finally Stockport" - You might want to change that last bit!

My husband likes your video and this is his computer. I do not like your video as it is boring and unprofessional. I watched another video prior to this one and it was a pleasure to watch, it was from Hooton to Liverpool. Constantly asking how long is it to Staylybridge was another annoying thing about this video. A child constantly asks "Are we there yet" and I found your constantly asking how long to Stalybridge on the childish side. The thing you need to do next is go and get some professional training with regard to your video and try and be more interesting and enthusiastic about your journeys. Oh, and please grow up with regard to asking silly things like "How long till we get to Staylybridge". Sorry to tell you off but I think you deserve it.
