DC Rebirth started out so strong. Almost every title in DC was really good. Superman had one of his best run this Rebirth era. Superman becoming a father really added to his character. One of my favorites.

I absolutely loved the Rucka Wonder Woman run. He really gets the character and the art by Nicola Scott and Liam Sharp is perfect.

Great list ! The Rebirth series started out so strong. I wish they had stayed the course. Jurgens and Tomasi should never have been taken off of Super-Man. They made both Action & his own title so good. I have to say that the Rebirth one shot and The Button are my personal favorites.

Honestly I dont really consider Snyder's Justice League as a part of Rebirth, so i would have understood you not putting it on here anyway. But his run is absolutely amazing. My personal favorite out of these would have to be Tynion's detective comics. Some of the best bat-family related stories I've ever read. Great video man !

Peter Tomasi and James Tynion runs are the best in Rebirth for Superman and Batman. Just my opinion...✌

New 52: bat's run is great Superman's run sucks
Rebirth: Bat's run sucks, Superman's run is great (until bendis took over)

Me who's a fan of both: 😔

I rarely buy Marvel or DC stuff anymore. When I do buy their books, I buy titles that are self-contained. I luv the "Earth One" graphic novels, for instance! Well, most of them, lol. And I luv some of the "Elseworlds" & "Black Label" titles, as well! I'm not financially capable of keeping up w/such big universes w/so much continuity & tie-ins to, crossovers with, or "events" that involve other titles, lol. I remember when the "New 52" launched(I think I'm one of the few who actually liked it, for the most part, lol). I was excited! While I had some basic knowledge of the main DC universe as it was, I didn't really read much of it @ all. It was cool to be able to really get in on the ground floor, so-to-speak. I decided I would try to follow my favorite characters, buying the HC volume releases as they came out. So at the start, I was trying to follow 7 characters' books + "Justice League". But since Batman was one of those characters, that meant 4 different *titles* right there, lol. So when I looked @ the actual # of *titles* that I was trying to buy as they were released, it ended up being 12. And that's not counting any tie-ins, crossovers, or events, lol. I quickly realized I was going to have to reduce the # of characters I followed, & cut back to my favorite 2-- Bats & Supes. This still left me needing to follow-- & thus buy-- 7 titles(4 Bats titles, 2 Supes titles, & "JL"). And while I like superhero comics, & was hoping to be able to maybe get more into them w/this re-boot/re-launch(or whatever they were calling it, lol), I am not a really big superhero comics fan in general, preferring other genres that are most prevalent in publishers outside of DC & Marvel. And so after taking a harder look @ my budget, I saw that I was delusional in thinking that I could even keep up w/anything more than 1 DC title on a regular basis if I wanted to have the $ to buy the kinds of stories from the genres I loved most. So I pared things down to just 1- "Batman". But I was forgetting about those tie-ins, crossovers, etc, lol. The 1st of which being(as far as my poor brain can recall) the "Death of the Family" event. And while I knew I "could" just read the main Batman title I was following & understand things pretty well, I knew there were references being made in not only some of the other Batman titles, but also in titles belonging to the Bat-FAMILY(😒)that one would need to read to *truly* get the full story. So, me being the OCD person that I am, I realised I was going to need to completely let go of my attempt @ truly following *any* title in the "New 52"... lest I drive myself Batty!😄 So, to wrap up yet another long comment, lol... I think those "Rebirth" Dlx Ed books u talked about DO look interesting. I liked *how* u reviewed them, as always. That Wonder Woman book looked the most appealing to me, as it seemed the most self-contained, & the art looked fantastic! Always nice to see appreciation for any kind of deluxe format graphic novel! I think I told u, in one if my recent comments, that I have been really diving into the Mignolaverse, & am loving it! One of the best things about it, from what I've read so far, is that while reading a certain title may possibly enhance ur enjoyment & understanding of another title or the overall "bigger picture", I've yet to read a title that I felt *required* the reading of others. The main "Hellboy" title(I'm including "Hellboy in Hell" here)-- which I started long ago & finished when the 2nd volume of "Hellboy in Hell" came out-- does not require the reading of any other Mignolaverse titles(for me, anyway). It feels complete. I can say the same for the "Witchfinder" series. But having gotten into more Mignolaverse titles, such as "B.P.R.D.", I am gaining more appreciation-- for not only the "Hellboy" series, but for the incredible universe in which Hellboy exists! And the enjoyment factor is even greater(which is hard to believe, considering how amazing these books are already)! Maybe this is how people who are really into the DC &/or MARVEL universes & are able to financially maintain a consistent reading of the various DC & Marvel books feel. I would wager it is; otherwise they'd bail on it, lol. But I'm loving the Mignolaverse, & plugging away at getting what I can afford. I hope everything I still need(which is quite a bit, lol!)stays in print or gets released in Omnibus format! I wonder if I'll ever catch-up?🤔 Anyways, I loved ur review of the "Black Hammer v.1" Lib. Ed.(as u know), & would really luv to get into it too! But for now it's: any spending $ = purchase of Mignolaverse titles!😄 Great vid, Mike! Hope u & Matt are feeling well! This Coronavirus outbreak has me stressed since I have various health problems, including an autoimmune disease, & have to take immunosuppressants which further weaken my immune system. This puts me in that 20% of people who, if Coronavirus is contracted, would most likely need hospitalization(15%) or could die(5%). So I'm doing all I can to hopefully prevent getting it; but the worry is still there.😓 But I suppose most people are concerned &/or worried about themselves or ones they care about. I worry about my brother w/him coming into contact w/hundreds or even thousands of people at his job. Sorry for getting dark there, lol. Stress. Thanx for another cool video, man! Look forward to the next! U guys stay as safe as u can! 😉👍🏻❤

I think if you like Deluxe 3 and 4 of King's Batman, you will love what's coming up. I personally think it's phenomenal.

I love the Superman and Wonder Woman runs, but I thought Tom King’s Batman was awful. It’s as bad as Bendis on Superman later on. It was such a shocking contrast to Snyder’s run. Detective Comics was ok.

Nice choices, thanks. About Batman detective comic, I think I'll wait the omnibus instead of the HC. Seems great book.

I'm still trying to read Rebirth and everything is good. I hope that they do another reboot like this one. I also like the post Rebirth runs including Scott Snyder's Justice League and Bendis's Superman. There is something to be said about each title. Yes Batman deluxe vol. 1 is a 9.5 out of 10 but no need to read past vol. 1. Dark Nights Metal, the main book was actually great and flows into Justice League but I want those guys to try again sort of like Hickman did for House/Powers of X coming from his Avengers run, I wonder if DC writers can make that advancement and be the best.

I've read the first three volumes of the batman run by tom king and I can say it was a great experience. I think the I am Gotham and I am Suicide stories are so great and could make great standalone stories. And I've only read them in deluxe format.
