$100,000 net worth 🙏🏿😇 #shorts

This is something I’ve been working towards for a while now, and I’m so happy to say I’ve hit this goal. I had a lot of emotions when I crossed the $100k mark, and here are a few of those thoughts -

Coming from an immigrant background, young me dreamed of the day that I would see 6 digits in account - which is super crazy to look back on! I think young Dennis would be proud. I’ll also say this, your first $100k really is about dedication and consistently sticking to a plan - now that I’m in the motion of consistently investing and managing my money, the thought of not doing what I usually do is what I find scary (I used to think that putting my money to work was the scary part!).

Here’s how my net worth is broken out (as of December 1st, 2024) -

➡️ Chequing Account = 1.1% ($1,226)
➡️ Saving Accounts = 3.8% ($4,300)
➡️ Investment Accounts = 95.1% ($107,000)

Again, this is just my personal net worth (not including our business bank accounts or Steph’s numbers).

Congratulations on hitting the $100K mark! Truly impressive! More impressive that you have managed your finances so well at 29! You are giving us loads of hope! Soon, you will be part of the million dollars club! I ran my numbers and saw that I'm worth CAD $68, 334 (1 CAD = ZAR 12.81 as of 19 Dec 2024) at 30 years old. No debt. Biggest mistakes made were bad money management in 2019 when I started working a corporate job (after uni), not investing sooner, and staying too long at my 2nd job (not switching jobs sooner).
