The Arc Hunter is one of the Most versatile yet powerful subclasses In destiny 2 at it's core and that's because of a
really strong ability loop and built in damage resistance and healing!

I want to cover 3 Exotic combos that turn the arc hunter into a monster in end game content
and all 3 of these exotics and builds are different ways you can play and experience the Arc Hunter Ways.

All 3 of these can be played with No Mods and still perform amazingly thanks to the way the subclass and exotics work together
as long as you choose that right aspects and fragments and understand how you should be playing them!

We have a 1 punch man hunter build that can quite literally solo GM content with ease.

A Grenade Build that applies the Jolt debuff to everything we see and lightning chain just cleans everything up.

And lastly a Build that gives us our super insanely fast and allows it to do 70% more damage which
I am using in the gameplay because it allowed us to easily one phase the Duality Dungeon boss on Master
for that sweet artifice armor for Lightfall!

Fun fact with cowl and combo dodge, even if you don't have your melee charged it'll still fully heal you AND grand invis
I was farming master Lost sectors with this build on the weekend and was clearing it in under 3 minutes every time

Have to agree with another post in the comments….. dude since finding your channel you have made destiny a lot more enjoyable with your excellently put together build tutorials and crafting vids … wow really opened my mind to all sorts of different ways to play the game a a cross all three characters…. You Sir are a credit to the community ….have to give you your flowers 💐💐💐

Why didn't you mention Liar's Handshake? A great choice for melee arc hunters.

Couple of things I want to mention as someone who’s been running arcstrider basically since arc 3.0:
1. Where’s liars? Absolutely phenomenal exotic with this build. Adds more healing, adds more damage, all around I love liars handshake and I literally haven’t ever taken it off
2. Why care about grenades so much? You have so much Melee damage and that loop is already amazing so personally I don’t know why you’d try and force grenades into it too
3. Weapons. I use a shaped Ragnhild-D shotgun with enhanced one-punch and enhanced dual-loader (dual-loader just because u have insane reload speed with flow state and a fragment I use that I’ll talk about later). Highly recommend using this it at least something with one-two punch for that extra boss damage. I use the Ikelos smg with Voltshot and feeding frenzy but tbh most of the time I don’t ever even shoot it much. Lastly I use tractor cannon. Shoot a boss and give them the 30% debuff and then super and start one-two punch Melee-ing them with combo blow x3 and they die QUICK
4. The fragments I use are spark of resistance (obviously), spark of ions for that extra ability energy (not great cuz u have infinite Melee and dodge so it’s really only for grenade but in case u ever DO mess up the loop it helps get back into it quicker with a Voltshot weapon), spark of frequency, this was the fragment that gives insane reload speed to everything and lets u not have to stop to reload your shotgun for very long, and finally spark of magnitude, this one plunder recommended when he originally made this build at the beginning of last season and I never really changed it because it was mostly for the “arc grenades stun overloads” mod but it does still add a little extra damage when u throw it on a boss or something.
5. Mods. Tbh those aren’t w en that important. I just run melee wellmaker, well of ions, bountiful wells, dont of wisdom and elemental light(that last one just because I had 1 extra energy on my cloak). Make wells with punch and get increased damage. Also get higher super charge rate. Also this helps fix the loop if u mess up gamblers dodge and don’t get ur melee back.

Thank you for listening to my Ted talk and I hope this helped any fellow arcstrider players out there. Also by no means am I saying ur wrong I’m right. Plunder is absolutely way better at this game than I am. I mean heck I can’t even beat master level nightfalls with 1 of my friends and plunders out here soloing gms. This was just my own lol spin of the build he made.

Honestly, I really feel like the Arc 3.0 Hunter has the best overall toolkit out of all other subleases and characters. You have a built in engine to keep your melee and dodge going. Using those two skills lets you pair 'impact induction' and 'bomber' on the arms and cloak so that the melee/dodge engine helps fuel your grenades too. Then it's all about what exotics and weapons you'd like to use. Any weapon can be used effectively because you also have a way to buff your reloads to insane speeds by getting melee hits (again with the core engine), so you're free to use whatever you want. I use the blinding grenade for utility, and with Light Fall you'll be able to use blinding and jolting effects on champions more, so there's also that going for the build. You have a good amount of choices for exotics to use, plus your exotic weapons can also add to the types of champions you can deal with. All around, the Arc 3.0 Hunter has an amazing subclass with so much freedom and versatility for build crafting while utilizing a REALLY good engine for ability spamming too

Assassin's Cowl arcstrider is one of, if not, the strongest build. The perfect synergy happening within the subclass and the exotic makes it very strong even in endgame. It's quite literally a real assassin build; high risk, high reward. With the changes to mods, this build might become even stronger. If Striking Light stays (melee kills create orbs when charge with light, in lightfall it would be armor charge), it might be even essential due to the importance of orbs now.

- Combination blow when active allows you to proc Assassin's Cowl even when you don't have a melee charge
- Get a kill to proc Assassin right before popping your super; you'll become invisible while throwing gathering storm
- You can use Tractor to debuff every single champion, bosses and mini bosses, which will boost your insane melee damage with a one-two punch shotgun
*Honorable mention to Heartshadow, which synergises with Assassin's Cowl

TL;DR, you combine the power of both void and arc 3.0

Arc hunter is tied with void for being out the box some of the strongest 3.0 classes on hunter. Arc you truly can just use whatever set up you want. I switch between a grenade build with shinobu and a pure melee set up liars handshake which absolutely nukes everything in the field…. I think a lot of people sleep on liars handshake but when you get it’s perk active in combination with a x3 combination blow on top of powered arc melee hits jolting the target it annihilates the first target but that chain lighting from the jolt also nukes. While also giving health and dodge back hahaha. It might not be as meta as shinobu or the exotics but god dam is it fun!

I used the assassin's cowl build quite a lot, but I was never able to use it in real endgame content, i.e. GM nightfalls. That's because the base melee damage takes forever to kill an add, and that is if you can reach that add without dying from all the enemy shootings. I think very few people can make this build work in GMs. Anyway, eventually I ended up using liar's handshake for all content except GM's as it is much more usable and powerful, don't really need invisibility. Still not usable in GM's though.

Shinobu's Vow + Tripwire Canary = absolutely bonkers add-clearing and area of effect. Plus if you make one of your armor pieces solar, you can take advantage of a Charged with Light mod regaining grenade energy upon a grenade kill. Then if you set the rest of your armor to arc and use elemental wells, then you can make the rest of your armor give you buffs for all the elemental wells you're dropping everywhere, and you can use the mod that makes you Charged with Light when you pick up a well, to get easy and perpetual CwL stacks for eternal grenades. Covers the whole map in lightning basically. Lets you keep your distance. Riskrunner works great too, but you would probably want more tankiness since you might be closer to the bad guys a lot more

I would love to see all subclasses build around stareater so u just have one exotic and an unique playstyle around the fragments and aspects with huge super damage for every hunter class ❤

New to your channel, and just want to say thank you so much for the help, I play the division series mainly, but always tinkered with d1 and d2 but very little, just came back and I am so lost, this game is overwhelming since I only played at launch and quit, trying to figure out the gear, mods, what to run what stats and your videos help alot THANK YOU ..

I'd like to see some builds based more with mods than exotics, as I'm a somewhat new and f2p player, I don't have access to getting most of these exotics. I've been swapping between voidwalker and the hunter classes
