David Wright breaks the Mets all time hit record

On Wednesday, September 26, 2012, David Wright hits an infield single. The third baseman made a throwing error, but since David advanced to second because of it, he is charged with an error (allowing David to move to second) and it is also ruled a hit for David. Despite the controversy, David hits a clean single to center his next at bat, ensuring him of the hit record. Congrats, David, we hope you stay a Met!
