To me it's already too fast at 1x so i usually put it at 1.5x and the animations seem even smoother and a tiny bit slower. Better experience for me.

the problem is that after setting the animations to .5x and then turn off developer mode, and then i turn it all back on, it automatically goes back to the default of 1x!? how to keep it at .5x when turning off developer mode!??😢😢😢

Animations just slow things down. When I click something I want to see it *instantly* Not some weird effect. JMHO of course. Wish they were completely OFF by default and if someone wants it they can turn on.
