Great help, think mine laptop is an older version so it wasn't the same process. However, the beginning steps were exactly where I needed to be to get started.

I have a timesheet that has a WEEK ENDING cell and our work weeks are Sun. thru Sat. So I put the date in that cell, (ex: 10/31/2020)
Now in the rest of the timesheet there are columns for each day of the week. So I know how to get the Saturday's column date cell to copy the week ending cell by using the formula =AG1. So now Saturday's date cell is autofilled in. What I want to happen next is I want the remaining days of the week to autofill each days date cell going back to Sunday's date cell. Sunday would be 10/25/2020. How do I achieve this?

How are you getting to change the year to 2018 from 1930

but it doesn't change it at a base format level, if you set data validation, "is valid date" "reject input" .... it will reject the date unless you have it in the stoopid American, month. day, year format, so if I want it as we do in Australia, day, month, year, it seems you can't do it

Hey my Google sheet doesn't show more formats. The last option in my menu is custom currency, custom date & time and custom number format?

Ok, I'm back and found that the format system changed a date that I put it to a different date altogether. How do I fix that?

I have two columns with MM/DD/YYYY and Time HH/MM/SS AM/PM

I want to change the Time column to MM/DD HR/MM and that is one of the selections shown in custom formats.

However it works properly only on dates prior to 7/21/2019 and all dates after that it changes to 12/30 plus the hour & minute

So as that did not work I tried something different.

I tried to build a text string to combine an index number {col A} with the Date {col F} : to look like this "#1-7/21/19" and it works until I go past 7/21 to 7/22 and I get "#11-12/30/99"

="#" & (A2) & "-" & text(F2, "mm/dd/yy")
where A2 starts at "1" and increments by 1 on each subsequent row. and F2-Fxx is a MM/DD/YYYY format
If I edit the formula above to use "yyyy" I get "#11-12/30/1899"
