I was following a tutorial that is a bit aged now and it was using an older version of postman. Now it has changed quite a bit and I didn't know how to use it.
My API was getting null object all the time. Spent some time in stack overflow with solution that did not appear to be a reasonable solution. I was pretty sure I was not using Postman properly.

Hi Mukesh, Thank you so much for guiding us. I have one query There are 4 mandatory fields on application. I am updating the data using PUT method, however I am just send one field in my request still it is accepting. is this a defect?. If no then what is difference between PUT and PATCH method apart from PUT can be used to create the data
