Craziest false start I ever saw was in a horse race (Preakness Stakes). Each horse is put in a separate space in the gate to start. The front part of the gate, where the horses will eventually go through when the race starts and it is opened, is made up of incredibly strong magnets. In this race, one of the horses was particularly anxious to start, and he was a big strong fella- he managed to break through the gate 😂. Hasn’t happened before (using that type of gate) or since. Wild!
