“...electrical harness, just gotta plug a couple things in. And finally the gasket....and then your thermostat. And finally the mounting plate....” it’s the little things that crack me up. Great personality and informative. Win win.

One thing to remember is that with how well you have that insulated you'll usually be running that heater on low. When they only run on low the burner chamber builds up with carbon and stops working as well, to solve it run the thing on full blast for an hour or two every now and then to burn out the extra. I can always show you how to rebuild it and clean it out by hand too. Let me know if you have any questions, I've installed a lot of those.

I remember many years ago a very smart supervisor telling someone how to make a set of instructions for training on how to do a certain job in the oilfields. He said make it so simple that my Gramma could look at and do it. You did it. Very well done Sir.

Youll love it. I have a Chinse Diesel heater from Amazon. Works amazing. I installed it in my teardrop for camping at the ski areas. They sips diesel. So effecient. The Webastos will mount in the same space as the chinese ones. They are copies. The cool thing on the chinese heaters is they adjust for altitude in the controller. These usually need a high altitude kit.

I installed a china diesel heater in a horse trailer for a woman, I talked her into upsizing to a bigger fuel tank that we mounted under the gooseneck of her trailer. Heater works great for her, and no worries about condensation from burning a propane heater.

Thank you so much for making this video! I have been looking for a tutorial like this for a long time and finally stumbled onto your channel. We’re putting this same model of heater in our skoolie build. I spent all day yesterday trying to make sense of all the parts, and after watching your video it all makes sense to me and I feel ready to get ours installed!

Great Vid THL, and you have convinced me with the Webasto. I had purchased a Chinese copy, no good. I left it at my workplace marked (free to good home). Got the same as yours on the way and looking forward to Cheers Mate and take care.

The video made me feel like I was watching an episode of "Modern Marvels" or "How it's Made". I'll never need to install one of these heaters, but it's entertaining to watch anyway.

Excellent work muh man 🦾 I installed one in my camper a few weeks ago and freakin love it! Now that I have the spray on insulation in there walls are not finished yet) the heater on lowest setting kept the camper a cozy 84 degrees. Huge improvement over the my buddy heater! You'll have to keep us posted on whether or not the diesel has a geling issue when it's extremely cold at night or if you run anti gelling additives as preventative measures. Tank location took a lot of deliberation on my part before I committed to mounting it where I did. Can't wait to see how you mount the camper to the new flatbed!
