I thought their job was to gather information and spread news not directly influence trades and roster decisions.

Respectfully, we’ve been robbed Unfiltered Stephen A for many many years. Couldn’t be happier he’s on YouTube.

If that's the case Stephen A would've got his Knicks dream of having Kyrie and Durant so it's definitely not on them

Careful what you say about woj sa. He’s the only one better at making up narratives than you. Well except Malika.

I'd never talk to a reporter again outside of post-game conferences.

The fact that you don't see the issue is the problem.

So if I hear about your baby mama info and I go spreading it around, what's the issue right?

The violation is called bias. Why would an executive give them any information beneficial other than that executive aka team. Shams could withhold it if there isn’t a player side to the story to then make the information unbiased. But only taking executives words leads to bias against the players because the executive are fighting against other executives.

I don't think people, who criticized Woj and Shams, as well as SAS's take here, understand how the journalism industry works, because they just don't know. The concept of confidentiality that SAS explained is correct. If you have a conversation with someone, and you're told not to air out the details of that conversation to anyone else, it's your duty to honor that. If you don't, then you hurt your credibility as a reporter, and as someone that can't be trusted with certain information, then nobody will want to talk to you.

However, if you have that conversation, and the person doesn't specifically tell you to keep it between you and them, then it can be aired out as much as possible. That's your job as a reporter. You report things. You don't keep them silent, unless you're told to.

It’s an issue if Shams/Woj tell those GMs info before releasing publicly. That’s basically inside info. If everything goes up on Twitter then GMs adapt accordingly, no problem with it

Common sense misses a lot of people. This seems pretty ridiculous.

Right before the draft he said that scoot had a chance to go 1st to get people to place bets. I’m sure he got some cash on the side for that. Lol

SAS you have a point but to think that doesn’t happen I think is very disingenuous of you.

NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER argue publicly ANYTHING that will - sure as you're born - be brought back to you in courts of law.
Stephen A. is actually AGRUING a case that hasn't been brought yet.
Professional talkers are loveable.
They're also lamentable.

When EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH has his own, "unique" existence, REALITY hits that much harder.
Stephen A. is talking the FOOL.
Not because of the volume, but because of the content.

Love you SAS but this take ain’t right. Info like they have can easily screw over players, though as you pointed out it can do the opposite which is important too!

I know you gotta defend your colleagues. Should chalk this up to a disgruntled agent somewhere and the cost of doing business. Clearly someone somewhere has a vendetta.
