He does have some skills. And I do believe he can be better then he's showing right now. But his decision making in when to start a dribble and when to choose for a pass seems way off. He also seems to lack to think far ahead. Lot of times he hasn't been looking about where his teamplayers are, so when he finally does create some space for himself he can't give the ball fast enough and the defender can reposition. And when he want to launch himself, he seems to play the ball to far ahead in comparison to where the opponent players are, and he finishes in a duel for the ball. He should learn to keep the ball a little closer to his body in those situations

As much as I hate Antony and his antics, I think United players are also at fault in these situations. Whenever he dribbles, I can only count on one hand how many of United players are helping him to receive the ball or to make a 'triangle pass' situation.

Honestly, it looks like Antony is dribbling alone while the rest of United players are 'hiding' behind opposition players, and they all are afraid to receive the ball in fear of being blamed for the one losing it. This is NOT dribbling this is what i called as "CHASING THE BALL". Look at the difference, chasing the ball requires acre of space to be effective but the likes of Messi and Giggs could keep and past players in tight space.
