Samsung QVO vs EVO SSD: What’s the Difference?

Evo is tlc, qvo is qlc.
qlc is great value for secondary/ external drive.
tlc is ideal for primary drive for their reliability and longevity.
Plus these days tlc drives always have dram which helps with responsiveness.

I recently purchased an Samsug QVO 4TB SATA SSD. THis is used as a second storage drive. The C drive is an 1TB M2 Rocket. A great combination that works for gaming and plenty of storage space.

I always search for harddrives to fulfill my needs. 3.5, 2.5 or NVME M.2 with enough obboard Dram to handle large transfer of files without slowing transfer speeds. Your video mentions nothing of this, and it should. As far as any harddrives life expectancy, 10 years is normal, even under continious usage, meaning 24/7 Reliability over life expectancy is even more important and knowing they will be dependable against malfunction. Turning a computer off and on continually every day will shorten the life of any harddrive both mechanical or solid state.

Samsung SSD and NVMEs are great. Over last 8 years I have purchased about 15 drives from them and NONE have failed. Actually, I only use SAMSUNG even though some others are fine also.

Hi, does it matter more if you are always writing to it? If I'm just transferring data once to it. A sample library that I won't be changing much then QVO should be fine? Evo is out of stock in my store at the moment and won't have stock back in until a couple of months, but they have QVO.
