#1959apache Junkyard Find. Stopped by this one yard in Ft Worth and a 59 Chevy Apache Step side had recently been brought in. This old farm truck looked to jave been retired from duty for decades and probably sat on in some field working on ita Texas sun tan aka patina. This is just a quick Walk around of this old girl before she she heads into the crusher. Hopefully they let her hang around for a while. There still might be a few good parts left on her.

I like how you put the hood back on. Kind of gives the old girl back some of her dignity.

Always liked the style of those and the script on the valve cover adds to it.

I think they repro the floor but you'd need a donor truck for the cab roof and glass and my guess is you can probably find a better start point by the time you spend that kind of money.

But it isn't as bad as one from up here would be.

That tailgate would flip though. I had a GMC one that was worse and sold it first day of the first swap I took it to. It had holes in it. That one I might knock the rust back and hit it with the Rustoleum brown primer and see if it would bring $150.

Whoa Nelley, 1959 and at one time it was very

We got the tag, we can brag: STD for Standard interior trim, 703A for Galway Green exterior paint (which you can see it was under where the emblem was removed), and 114 is the truck's wheelbase in inches.

We got the VIN, we win: 3A for 3100 Series, 59 for 1959 model year, S for St. Louis, MO assembly and the rest is the production sequence. Should be a 235 CID straight six. There were about 1, 462, 140 total Chevrolet vehicles made in 1959, and I believe about 296, 990 of these trucks made in 1959.

Whoa Nelley, farm fresh and it's a mess. 1959 and outta time. Straight six and it hit the bricks. Was originally green, but no longer mean. That's it, time to quit. Just got back from America's Dairyland on a trip for biz, got some WI cheese and that's the way it is. Going to be flat and that's that. The Apache truck is out of luck. Going to get squished and the bowtie and apple pie Americana faithful are going to be pretty pissed.

License plate looks to be a 67 Farm Truck plate. So, probably have been sitting since then. There's just too much rust in the cab for this to be savable. Best be left alone as one of those "yard art" decorations. The tailgate and front end are great for those art bench or wall hanger projects lol.

It’s actually not that rough. Floors are easy. Structurally looks sound. Hope it’s not crushed.

I need some parts off it. Can you tell me the location of yard

This truck is going down because it is no longer on the "hot list" of trucks, and that's a shame. I think it's still workable.

It still have the 2 emblems that I am missing: the one in the front and the one in the back!

There are a lot of vehicles that were ruined by dual headlights in 58 & 59, bit I think that move MADE these trucks

Sure this was a nice looking truck at one time. Not anymore.

It would make a great part’s truck . There’s more parts there than a person thinks, I actually need a parts truck but I’m not sure how far away you are to make it feasible for me to buy it and pick it up or even have it shipped. But I’m sure theirs somebody that could use it. Exactly where is it located maybe your not as far away as I’m thinking but probably are please let me know what state it’s in

Like with all vintage Detroit iron that'll meet the crusher soon enough, my heart aches for the old Bow Tie. :-(

Hi there - could you please let me know where this is? I have an exact match running chassis (doing a chassis swap on my '59) and could move this body over to it and give it another chance.
