2023 elections: Electorates assess INEC's credibility

INEC, the Independent National Electoral Commission, has been the subject of a great deal of criticism in Nigeria following what some are calling a poorly executed recent election.

Opinions on the electoral body's performance vary greatly among Nigerians, with some commending it for an excellent job and others condemning it for a woeful one.

Among those who are unsatisfied with INEC's performance is the well-known TV personality Frank Edoho, who has gone so far as to call for the commission to be labeled as a criminal organization.

The intense backlash against INEC reflects the strong emotions that many Nigerians feel about the importance of fair and transparent elections in a democratic society.
