Target identification and validation for drug targets across different therapeutic areas

How to identify and validate potential drug targets when looking into treatments for a specific disease? "Target Identification" is the first step in discovering a new drug with identifying the function of a possible therapeutic target and its role in the disease. That would have a significant impact on the success rate in drug discovery research. "Target Validation" shows that a molecular target is involved in a disease process, and the modulation of the target would have a therapeutic effect. The most important criteria for target validation is to take multi-validation approach.
