I had installed the original whole house Daikin fit in 2019. Here in Texas this week it’s going to be over 100 almost every day. It keeps our house cool very well.

I have a Daikin ground source heat pump Altherma 3 GEO. It's been about 3 fahrenheit for the past week here and the pump keeps my house at steady 75 fahrenheit with underfloor heating and the 50 gallon hot water tank at a steady 140 fahrenheit. Very happy with the pump. Of course my ventilation unit is equipped with heat recovery so that helps. These combined systems with a furnace are unheard of where I live, literally nobody has one.

What are the benefits of a side discharge condenser? Why would someone choose a side discharge over a traditional format unit or vice versa?

Just watched your video and the information about the "enhanced" Daikin Fit vs the "standard". Does this mean the enhanced is for much colder climates than here in Florida ? or will the standard with a heat pump application be fine here as we have milder winters ?

I'm currently in the planning stage of building a new construction home. I do not have an existing central HVAC system. I am interested in installing an inverter system for my new home, probably the daikin Fit, since I do want duct work due to the fact that I want a whole home air purification system also installed to run through the ductwork. Having said that, do you think a dual fuel system is necessary? while it doesn't typically go below 0 here often in NJ, I do have access to natural gas that I'm not sure would be helpful in the chance my electricity goes out. Or would it make more sense just to put in a whole house generator backup system and skip the combustion furnace altogether? thank you!

Ok, let me make sure I understand what you are saying. If you take 4 or 5 ton Dakin Fit and combine it with a 5 ton gas furnace the AC will be limitted to 3 tons of capacity?

For the Daikin fit heat pump, is there a way to adjust the fan speed? I just recently had a Daikin fit HP system, the noise level is crazy, and the fan seems running 100% full blast all the time, not really as what they claimed as a variable speed system... is that any advice?

Could you help clarify compatibility before we buy? I have a Daikin furnace, DM96VC1005CN, coils added with instal but never used CAPF4860C6DB, Ecobee thermostat. Want to add AC now, need the quiet feature of Daikin Fit in Seattle. Which Fit is compatible with what I have? Furnace only 6 years old. Can I add an outdoor Daikin Fit AC or another quiet unit? Or need to replace coils and thermostat for compatibility which seems a waste. Thank you, I've learned much from your videos!

Im in Canada, just north of Toronto. My home retrofit involves a lower level and main level currently heated with forced air gas ducted. The four bedroom upper level is electric baseboard heat. We have concluded that the addition of ductwork to the upper area would be complicated and cost prohibitive. The contractor has recommended a one ton ductless unit Daikin, Daikin Single Head WALL MOUNT Aurora Heat Pump, 1.00 Ton, Ductless Outdoor to supply the upper and a Daikin, DAIKIN FIT Heat Pump, 2 Ton, Heat Pump to supply the lower two floors.
I have questioned the need for two units thinking that there may be an Daiken unit that may offer something similar to the Daikin, DAIKIN FIT Heat Pump, 2 Ton, Heat Pump with a ductless outlet that also incorporates a possable single head ductless wall mount that can feed the upper level. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you guys do work in keystone CO? I am currently renovating my condo and would love to see if heat pump might be an option there. My current contractor is oppose to it.
